My Go-To Beauty Products

I love fashion, but the thing make up holds over it is the fact that no matter what you weigh, make up always fits! I’m not a beauty snob and like to use both high end and high street products, so here are a few of my favourites that I swear by.

Sleek Face Contour Kit

Quite a few people have complimented me on my highlighting and contouring. Whilst there are many amazing contouring products, I personally find Sleek’s Face Contour Kit to be the best for my skin – and my budget. I recently tried Barry M’s Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit and found even the lightest option still made me look ridiculous. I have Sleek’s Contour Kit in ‘Light 884’, it is a matte powder, allowing you to build up the level of contour – making it perfect for day and night wear. The highlighter is also amazing, it is so shimmery and luminous, I’m yet to find a highlighter I like better!

MAC Matte Mehr Lipstick

Lipsticks are probably the item that I splurge on the most. However, I’m quite predictable in the shades I choose – I love deep pinks and purples! My favourite everyday lipstick is MAC’s Matte Mehr – I got recommended this by a friend and haven’t looked back since! MAC Mehr is a creamy matte lipstick in a lovely deep pink that gives a subtle elegance and looks good with everything, seriously everything.

MAC Matte Pink Plaid Lipstick

When I want to go a little lighter, I use MAC’s Pink Plaid which is a cute and flirty shade of pink and was actually a gift from Georgie!

Maybelline 14 hour Super Stay Lipstick Always Plum

For nights out, I prefer a darker lip. Maybelline’s 14 hour Super Stay Lipstick in Always Plum is a favourite. It’s a lovely dark purple and gives a vampy vibe to any outfit. It lasts really well and requires very few top up throughout the night, what more could you ask for?

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

I finally got the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette for Christmas, I was a bit skeptical at first. Although everyone raves about Urban Decay palettes, I personally used eyeshadow very little. This wasn’t out of personal choice – my eyes would always get too oily throughout the day, leaving me with a ridiculous crease of eyeshadow across my lids. However, this palette is a game changer! The Naked palette gives you four samples of their Eye Primer Potions (Original, Eden, Minor Sin and Anti-Ageing) and I couldn’t live without them. Whilst all are amazing, Minor Sin is my favourite. It has a wonderful shimmer to it, and makes eyeshadow last all day and night. No matter how much I cry – or how drunk I am – it is not budging.

Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Mascara – Effet Faux Cils

I have to admit, I did originally buy YSL’s Babydoll Mascara shamelessly because Cara Delevingne was the face of the campaign – but I have no regrets! The mascara takes my lashes to new lengths and is so dark. The brush is amazing and manages to catch all the tiny hairs near the inner and very outer parts of the eye, but is thin enough that you don’t get that blob of mascara on the inside of your nose. I can’t imagine using anything else, plus the fact the product packaging is all gold just makes me feel like a queen

So that’s just a few of my favourites, thanks for reading!
